  • Day 1 Arrival in Ballycastle

From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Ballycastle.

  • Day 2 Rathlin Island (evening transfer from Ballycastle Harbour to Ballintoy)

    6 or 15.5 Miles / 10 or 25 Km 3-6 Hrs 590 or 1800ft / 180 or 550 Metres

Take the short ferry trip to Rathlin Island in the morning. We recommend a trip to the West Lighthouse to visit the large seabird colony. Why not take a bus there and walk back? This will leave you plenty of time for a great little hike to the South Lighthouse in the afternoon.

  • Day 3 Ballintoy - Dunseverick Castle

    7.5 Miles / 12 Km 4-6 Hrs 460ft / 140 Metres

Make your way down to the picturesque Ballintoy Harbour this morning. From here, follow the cliff face around to White Park Beach. Continuing next to the ocean you pass the fishing village of Portbraddan before finishing your walk at the ruins of Dunseverick Castle.

  • Day 4 Dunseverick Castle - Bushmills (Giant's Causeway)

    8 Miles / 13 Km 3-5 Hrs 890ft / 270 Metres

You will walk for a long time before you find another cliff-top walk as breathtaking as this sensational trek along the Causeway coastline. Take some time to visit the Giant’s Causeway – a UNESCO world heritage site. Follow a path alongside the historic narrow gauge heritage railway, connecting the Giant’s Causeway and the charming town of Bushmills, famous for the oldest whiskey distillery in the world.

  • Day 5 Dunluce Castle - Portstewart

    9.5 Miles / 15 Km 4-5 Hrs 230ft / 70 Metres

Complementary transfer to the impressive ruins of Dunluce Castle in the morning. A stop for a closer inspection is well worthwhile. Then, follow the coastal path around the town of Portrush and continue past beautiful links golf courses next to the sea until you reach Portstewart.

  • Day 6 Departure from Portstewart
