Day 2 Invermoriston to Drumnadrochit
High Route 13.5 miles / 22 Km 6-8 Hrs 2430ft / 740 Metres Low Route 14.5 miles / 23 Km 6-8 Hrs 1640ft / 500 MetresToday you have two options: a high route or a low route.
Stunning views over Loch Ness are your reward today for some steep climbs along forest tracks on the north-side of the lake. If you still have enough energy, we recommend a 4km detour to Urquhart Castle. Or perhaps a pint of the local brew sounds more appealing?
-
Day 3 Drumnadrochit to Inverness
19.5 or 20 Miles / 31 or 32 Km 7-9 Hrs 1570 or 1800ft / 480 or 550 MetresThe last day and, in terms of length, also the most challenging. Good thing your legs will be perfectly toned after the last few days of hiking! Good variety between forest paths and open moorland on this hike, with an optional High Route at Abriachan – a nice way to finish your Great Glen experience.
