Having her roots in Switzerland, it comes naturally to say that Dominique has always been drawn to the outdoors. She was taught how to ski when she was 3 years old and going for hikes up in the mountains has just been a part of growing up. Her passion for travelling has brought her to the most beautiful coastlines, islands, and beaches ever since she started traveling solo when she was 15 years old.
Recently, she has joined the van-life hype and drove thousands of miles to explore the South of Europe and to end up at the Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland.
Her heart jumped for joy when she stood at the coastal walk of the famous Cliffs of Moher, and it is right there and then that she decided she wanted to inspire people to live their life in an adventurous way! In the meantime, she has moved to Athlone, which is the Midlands hometown of her partner.
As our Customer Experience Coordinator, Dominique looks after organising and booking hiking tours for our customers, along with answering any questions that people might have about our tours, services, or their upcoming adventure. Being bilingual, Dominique is happy to take care of enquiries in both the English and German language!
Away from Hillwalk Tours, most of her free time is spent with her Portuguese rescue dog. When they’re not on a trip together, they spend cozy hours in cafes, parks and of course at the nearest beach. She also loves practicing yoga, and she highly recommends spending a special spa day at one of the Seaweed spas in Ireland.
