Jenny grew up in Knock, Co. Mayo and spent most of her teenage years working in a bustling café close to the national Shrine. Tourism and languages have always been a passion of Jenny’s which led her to the University of Limerick and a degree in Applied Languages. During her college years Jenny spent a year working and studying in Cologne, Germany and Valladolid, Spain, developing her language skills and immersing herself in the local culture and lifestyle. Jenny’s travel bug was well and truly alive at this stage, and she spent her weekends taking trips to the surrounding towns and villages.
Jenny’s love for travel and her background in customer service and tourism led her to her role as a Customer Experience Specialist at Hillwalk Tours. Jenny’s role involves effectively communicating with customers & suppliers all over the world. Jenny enjoys recommending the best attractions and activities along the trip and she loves working alongside the dynamic and friendly team here at Hillwalk Tours. Putting her language skills to use, supporting local businesses and creating unforgettable experiences are key elements that Jenny loves about her job.
It’s hard to keep track of Jenny outside of work, while she loves spending time at home with her family and walking her dog, Bear; oftentimes she’ll be jetting off for a weekend trip to a new city, at a gig or trad session or chasing Sam Maguire at a Mayo football game!
