Katherin comes from Germany originally but fell in love with Ireland right after she finished school. In her teenage years, the family holidays were spent visiting an island in the North Sea, where her love for the sea grew. So when the time came, it was an easy decision to move to the West of Ireland, a place filled with stunning coastline and beautiful views. Katherin also has a great love for animals and farming. After working with horses for a while, she studied Agriculture and travelled to various destinations throughout Europe and North America. With her sense of travel and love for the outdoors (even in the rain!), naturally working for Hillwalk Tours was the perfect combination for her.
As a Customer Experience Specialist, Katherin engages with customers and suppliers on all aspects of the Hillwalk Tours experience and loves working alongside Hillwalk’s passionate and friendly team to create unforgettable memories for everyone. She helps German and English-speaking customers from the first enquiry about a hiking trip, right through to organising and making sure everything is perfect on their hiking holiday.
Outside of work, Katherin can be found looking after her horses or curled up on the couch with a book. She likes to go to the pub to enjoy a bit of ‘craic’ and music and enjoys researching the next holiday destination to discover more ‘Wow’ experiences and adventures.
