Niamh Hurney Hillwalk Tours

Niamh is from Galway in the West of Ireland and has always loved the outdoors. An early curiosity in science led her to complete an anatomy degree at the University of Galway. From there she continued her studies in clinical research and worked as a clinical trials coordinator during Covid-19 in Sydney. Working with very ill patients gave Niamh a real appreciation for life and well-being. During those difficult lockdowns, she really leaned on nature to bring her back to balance. Before leaving Australia, she worked in a winery, facilitating tastings for people from all over the world. Whilst she loved Australia, Ireland was calling her back and with it a career change! She trained as a yoga, meditation teacher, and coach and started to follow her passions. When she discovered Hillwalk Tours, she was immediately drawn in as she knows the positive impact being in nature has on our well-being.

Her role as a Customer Experience Associate allows her to communicate with customers, helping them plan their ideal walking tours, put their personalised walking packs together and answer any questions they may have about Hillwalk Tours. Niamh is delighted to be part of a team creating experiences that enrich people’s lives.

When she’s not working at Hillwalk Tours, you’ll probably find Niamh teaching a yoga class, hiking, travelling or enjoying a tasty pint at her favourite Galway trad pub (the Crane Bar!).
