How does the refer a friend program work?
By referring your friends to Hillwalk Tours you can earn credit to spend on your next hiking holiday, while also giving a discount to your friends for their upcoming hiking adventure with Hillwalk Tours. Here’s how:
- Provide your friend with your referral code. This can be either your Email Address (which you used when booking your Hillwalk Tours tour previously) or a Booking Reference (of one of your past tours).
- When booking their tour, your friend must enter your referral code into the ‘Promotional Code’ field on our booking form.
- Once we receive your friends booking, we’ll apply a €40 / £30 discount to their booking, and add €75 / £65 credit to your Hillwalk Tours account, for use on future hiking tours.
How can I see how much credit I have?
You can see all your available credit with Hillwalk Tours by logging into your Hillwalk Tours account and checking the ‘My Details’ section of your account.
How long does it take to receive my credit for a referral?
As soon as your friend has booked their hiking tour and a team member has verified & matched the referral code to your account, then your referral credit will be added. This may take between 1-5 working days.
Does my awarded credit expire?
Your referral credit will remain active for 5 years from the time it was added on our systems. After 5 years your credit will expire.
Will I still get credit if my friend signs up using an incorrect referral code?
No, credit will not be applied in this instance. If our team member is unable to find, verify and match the entered referral code to an existing customer account on our systems, then no credit or discount will be applied. Your friend will need to make a team member aware of any corrections to the referral code should the discount or credit not be applied.
What are the requirements for refer a friend program?
The following are a list of rules in order for the refer a friend discount and credit to be successfully applied;
- A valid referral code must be entered in the promotional code field of the booking form at the time of booking
- The referrer must have an existing Hillwalk Tours account
- Inputting your own referral code on your own booking is not permitted.
- The ‘Refer a Friend’ discount and credit cannot be applied to bookings that are linked or joined i.e. separate bookings of friends / groups which are participating in the same tour on the same dates. If you’re part of a larger group, if possible, we recommend booking together under one tour reservation rather than splitting into multiple bookings. This will help us better accommodate your group and try to keep you all together during the tour.
